To provide an organisation for ASEAN Accountants for the further advancement of the status of the profession in the region with the view to establishing an ASEAN philosophy on the accounting profession.
ASEAN Federation of Accountants (AFA) unveils its 2025 milestones in Sustainability and New Era of Leadership

The AFA Annual Report 2025 has been officially released. This comprehensive report showcases the Federation’s key milestones and achievements throughout the year, while highlighting the significant contributions and events led by our member organisations.
“ASEAN Federation of Accountants (AFA) remained focused on strengthening governance, enhancing coordination across the Federation, and advancing the development of the accountancy profession across the ASEAN” said AFA President (2024-2025) Prof. Dr. Doan Xuan Tien. “A key focus of AFA’s work in 2025 was strengthening regional coordination and global engagement. Through sustained interaction with IFAC, global standard setters, development partners, and regional networks, AFA continued to amplify the ASEAN voice in discussion on sustainability reporting, assurance, ethics, education, and professional standards”.
Sustainability remained at the heart of AFA’s agenda in 2025, through joint events, webinars, conferences, and focused dialogues, AFA created space for members to share real-world experiences, challenges, and emerging practices in sustainability and ESD implementation. Also continuing with 2024 mission of PAO capacity-building initiative, AFA facilitated the signing of a two-years mentoring program (2025-2026) between MICPA and ISCA, with the support from IFAC. AFA had also convened 32 meetings, supported 12 joint events and activities, participated in 9 stakeholder engagements, and produced 6 publications and reports. Included AFA’s recognition as an ISSB Knowledge Partner.
The report also highlighted AFA new leadership for the 2026-2027 term, with the appointment of its Office Bearers. With Dr. Ardan Adiperdana, CA from IAI appointed as the President, succeeding Professor Dr. Doan Xuen Tien. Supporting the presidency, Ms. Khadijah Moksin from BICPA was appointed as the Deputy President bringing strong experience in professional development and regional engagement, while Mr. Koh Wee Kwang, from ISCA appointed as the Treasurer. It is our shared hope that the AFA Office Bearers for the 2026-2027 term will foster leadership that blends stability with innovation. By combining continuity and fresh momentum, we will work together to build a more connected and future-ready ASEAN accountancy profession.
Looking toward 2026, AFA is set to reach new heights, energized by a fresh leadership team including the Office Bearers, Executive Director, and the dedicated Secretariat. By anchoring every initiative in collaboration, integrity, and excellence, the organization continues to redefine its commitment to professional brilliance and industry leadership.
